Peter Neumann

Prof. Dr. Peter Neumann is an expert on Islamist terrorism. He studied Political Science at the Freie Universität Berlin and took his doctoral degree in War Studies at the King’s College in London. In 2008 he founded the International Center for the Study of Radicalisation (ICSR) at the King’s College London, and has since been the director of that institution.

He is a partner of the European Commission’s European Network of Experts on Radicalisation, a member of the German Federal Criminal Police Office’s European Expert Network on Terrorism Issues, and involved in various committees and commissions (advisory boards, think tanks, and institutions), such as the Club de Madrid. Prof. Neumann has been invited to give evidence before the U.S. House of Representatives and the UK House of Commons.
