Bele Grau

Bele Grau studied Social Work (Sozialwesen) in Würzburg, with a focus on Social Management. From 2006 until 2014 she was managing director of the Afghanistan program of the women’s rights organization medica mondiale, and she continues to serve on the honorary board of the Afghan NGO Medica Afghanistan. She is currently a PhD candidate at the Goethe University Frankfurt. Her dissertation is based on an ethnographic research project on women’s movement(s) in Afghanistan.
